The Music Connections youth performers showcased their talents to an appreciative crowd of supporters and families during a very specially put together event in celebration of their abilities. It was a time of uplifting sharing and special items by Caregivers and the Sunshine Synthesis band too. Held at TNC premises a few doors down from Music Solutions’ office at Midview City, the Music Connections Showtime was an amalgamation of months of practice sessions held by Music Solutions’ trainers.

FAQ FOR MUSIC CONNECTIONS PROGRAMME
1. What is the eligibility to join this programme?
We welcome participants who have ASD or multiple mild intellectual disabilities including ASD.
2. If my child has a physical disability, can he join?
At this moment, we are not able to include individuals with physical disability.
3. Will my child get to pick the instrument they want?
We will expose your child to the following instruments – drums, cajon, guitar, keyboards, percussions, voice.
However if your child has talents in other instruments, feel free to bring that up to us personally.
4. My child is non-verbal. Can he/she join this programme?
If your child is non-verbal, we would need your child to be able to understand instructions. Once you are enrolled, our very kind staff will reach out to you to find out more on how we can best communicate with your child.
5. What if the trainer(s) cannot manage my child?
Our trainers are equipped to handle a range of neuro-divergent individuals from moderate/severe to high-functioning. If your child might be triggered by certain situations or things, please highlight these to us in the appropriate question we included within the form so that we can work together with you.
6. Is my school subsidised?
Students and graduates from these four schools are eligible for subsidised programme at the current moment: APSN, Eden, Rainbow, SAAS. We are continuously reaching out to other schools and hope that more will be added to the subsidy eligibility in the future.
7. Do I have to follow my child to his/her session?
Following your child to his/her session is not compulsory, and we also encourage your child to learn independence. However, we do have caregiver activities happening concurrently while the sessions are going on and we highly encourage you to join our caregiver sessions which are situated within the same premises.
8. What if my child misses a session?
Your child is required to attend at least 70% of the Programme. Please note that there are no make up lessons.
9. What if I encounter any technical difficulties while registering or filling in the registration form? (e.g. cannot upload my documents etc)
