A.B.C. Show Series – Drum Raider
The A.B.C (Arts Beyond Classroom) Show Series is a collation of engaging, educational and exciting presentations. Customisable to meet the needs of the learners, the presentations are packed with interesting music facts and dance trivia incorporated to educate, engage and inspire learners of different levels.
Taking on the role of an adventure explorer in Drum Raider, you will be taken on an adventure to different parts of the Singapore to learn more about the unique cultural and heritage of Singapore. In this interactive show, you will join forces with the Drum Raiders from Music Solutions and set off to a mission of discovery and exploration as you drum and tap to various rhythms commonly heard during the celebrations of the different races in Singapore (e.g. Lion Dance rhythms) using the authentic instruments. Using a story-telling approach, you will be fully engaged through purposeful play to develop a keen awareness about various elements of music, such as rhythm and beat.
