Music Maxima! Strings Edventure
Strings Edventure is an introductory programme for beginners to inspire them to pick up the string instrument and learn more about the strings family in the Western Orchestra. Students will be taken through fundamental violin playing techniques, through the learning journey, they will be intrigued with fun music that will appeal to them and make them grow to like classical and modern music styles. Backing tracks of different musical styles are used to accompany the violin playing. Pupils will be exposed to Jazz, Rock, Classical and our local cultural music.

Learning Outcome
1. To inspire pupils to pick up a string instrument and learn more about the string family
2. To equip pupils with the fundamental skills of violin playing through a “listen-sing-play-read-write” approach 3. To appreciate musical styles ranging from jazz, blues, rock, reaggae, classical and local folk songs 4. To encourage creativity through composition 5. To provide a platform for relationship building, cognitive development and creativity through progressive learning experience, group-based activities, ensemble playing and performing opportunities.
